Product story

Jackson Pollock was a key figure in the Abstract Expressionism movement, with his dynamic splashes and drips of paint creating riotous, large-scale works. Life magazine posed the question in its August 8, 1949 four-page spread "Is he the greatest living painter in the United States?"

This A6 postcard features Jackson Pollock's work Blue Poles or Number 1, 1952, a monumental canvas included in the Royal Academy's landmark exhibition Abstract Expressionism.
