This is a lithographic reproduction by print master Henri Deschamps at the Atelier Mourlot in Paris in 1966. The original lithograph was printed in 1892, advertising a series of appearances by singer Aristide Bruant at les "Ambassadeurs", a cabaret in the Montmartre neighbourhood of Paris.

Each poster comes with a Certificate of Provenance, signed by Eric Mourlot and stamped from the Collection of Atelier Mourlot. The selling price includes the bespoke hand-made frame, featuring cast acrylic glazing with 92% optical clarity and 90% UV protection and responsibly sourced solid ash with hand-applied, painted finish.

Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec (1864-1901) was a French artist, painter, printmaker, caricaturist, illustrator and draughtsman born into aristocracy in Albi, Tarn, the Midi-Pyrénées region of southern France. Although his most common medium was paint on canvas, he was no stranger to lithography. He created 363 posters and prints in his career. Toulouse-Lautrec is held in the highest regard of the post-impressionist movement along with his contemporaries, Cézanne, Van Gogh and Gauguin.
