Product story
“I discovered that this format, with its implied sculptural manifestation, could seem sinister at times (as was my first intention in using shapes of varying proportions to illustrate climate catastrophe) but also playful and entertaining at other times, evoking acrobatic performances.”
Paul Huxley’s multi-disciplinary practice includes painting, sculpture and printmaking. This image is derived from statistical data relating to the impact that mankind is making on planet Earth, specifically in terms of air pollution. The forms in the image relate to the amounts of poisonous gases that are produced. The ‘balancing act’ in Huxley’s composition suggests precariousness and insecurity.
The RA Editions programme generates valuable revenue for the RA and in particular the RA Schools.
