In recent years, Le Brun’s practice has developed dramatically to embrace a direct and improvisatory quality. This new woodcut sees the artist continuing to work energetically and expressively, with a focus upon structural process, gestural mark-making, risk-taking and vibrant colour. The title relates to Seria Ludo, which translates as ‘serious matters treated in a playful spirit’.
