Product story

Stephen Chambers The Big Country is the sixth in the series Artists' Laboratory exhbitions. The book focuses on The Big Country, one of the largest prints ever produced. An introductory essay by Rod Mengham, Fellow in English and Curator of Works of Art at Jesus College, Cambridge, considers the motivations and sources for Chambers' ambitious venture while Chambers and fellow Academician Alison Wilding explore the print's production. Illustrated with photographs that document the project, this book reveals the risks and rewards of making art on a monumantal scale. 48pp, approx 30 illustrations, softback with dustjacket.
