Product story

Bob & Roberta Smith is the pseudonym of the artist Patrick Brill, a trained sign painter who uses text as an art form. His colourful slogans on banners and placards challenge elitism and advocate the importance of creativity in politics and education with his best known works including Make Art Not War, 1997 and Letter to Michael Gove, 2011.

Smith was elected to the Royal Academy of Arts in 2013 and his work is regularly exhibited in the Summer Exhibition.
