Product story

Artist edition dust jacket in blue, hand painted by Ai Weiwei Hon RA for his landmark exhibition at the Royal Academy in 2015. The bold painterly design is reminiscent of Ai Weiwei's Coloured Vases where the artist dipped antique Chinese pots into brightly coloured paint which was then left to run down the side of the vessels, much like the paint on the dust jacket.

From architecture to installations, social media to documentaries, Ai uses a wide range of mediums as expressions to set up new possibilities and conditions for his audience to examine society and its values.
