Eco-Visionaries: Conversations a planet in a state of emergency
Eco-Visionaries: Conversations on a planet in a state of emergency features a collection of conversations with participants in the RA’s ‘Eco-Visionaries’ exhibition.
The book includes an introduction by the show’s curators and an interview with Timothy Morton, the environmental philosopher, on ways of thinking about the current climate crisis. The ecologist and activist Jane Goodall writes a foreword on the reasons for hope.
This 96-page book accompanies the exhibition ‘Eco-Visionaries: Confronting a planet in a state of emergency’, which opened at the RA in October 2019.
Contributors discuss their radical alternative visions for the future of the planet. Discussions with the following artists and architects are also included:
– Rimini Protokoll on survival
– Unknown Fields on global manufacturing
– Amale Andraos and Dan Wood on architectural thinking
– Alexandra Daisy Ginsberg on species extinction
– Carolina Caycedo on water politics
– Nerea Calvillo on air pollution
