Product story
Lawson’s long career as a painter has seen her explore a wide breath of subject matter through figurative and abstract painting, referencing a number of artistic movements. Richly coloured, infused with warmth, and often informed by her childhood and life experiences, Lawson’s work often has a poignant, dream-like quality combined with a strength and decisiveness. Memory and reflection are strong themes throughout her practice. In Twin Forms a female nude and a curvaceous cello are playfully juxtaposed on canvas with another figure – perhaps the artist herself - lounging at the easel’s base.
Artist Sales: this work is sold by the artist. The sale is facilitated by RA Enterprises (RAE) for which RAE receives a commission from the artist only.
