Artwork description

How is it to inhabit one’s body and feel through it? Adham Faramawy explores the question in a piece that won him the RA's Keeper’s Print Prize.
Faramawy’s work also examines how the sense of self each person creates for themselves relates to a digital culture of mediated images. In his broader practice, the Dubai-born contemporary artist works with digital video, painting, sculptural installation, computer software programs, and print, to test the complexities of cultural identity.

All proceeds from the sale of RA Editions prints go directly to support the RA Schools.



About Adham Faramawy

Adham Faramawy was born in Dubai, and studied at The Slade School of Fine Art followed by the RA Schools, graduating in 2013.


Faramawy works across a wide range of media including digital video, print, painting, sculptural installation and computer programmes, with much of his work alluding to an urban experience of life where technology and its relationship to the body takes... Go to artist page
