In the later years of her richly creative life, Mary Fedden was one of the most well-loved British artists of her time. Her art delights in the particularities of things: the longitudinal stripes and hidden symmetries of cut fruit, the markings of cats, birds, butterflies, eggs and seashells, the hues and luminosities of lily, daffodil, polanthus and poppy
It is clear from Fedden's own account that the most important influence on her painting was the constant personal, creative and critical presence of Julian Trevelyan RA, whom she married in 1951.
This greetings card features A cat and mouse beneath an orange chair, pastel and gouache, 1991.
High quality, litho printed on 330 gsm board with a China White envelope. Made of pulp sourced from sustainable forests.
