Grayson Perry RA is one of Britain's best-known contemporary artists. He works with traditional media - ceramics, cast iron, bronze, printmaking and tapestry - and is a great chronicler of contemporary life, drawing viewers in with beauty, wit, sentiment and nostalgia as well as fear and anger. His rise to prominence includes winning the Turner Prize in 2003, major solo exhibitions including the critically acclaimed Tomb of the Unknown Craftsman and being awarded a CBE in 2013. He was elected as a Royal Academician in 2011.
