Emma Stibbon RA works primarily on paper, producing large-scale drawing and prints. Often recording transient environments undergoing dynamic change, her work explores the elemental power and frailty of the natural world. She has participated in several international residencies including the Josef and Anni Albers Foundation, Connecticut, the Hawai’i Volcanoes National Park and the Grand Canyon National Park. Stibbon has also accompanied expeditions in Antarctica, organised by the Scott Polar Research Institute and The Arctic Circle in the High Arctic. In 2019, she was awarded the Queen Sonja of Norway Print Award, and elected a Royal Academician in 2013.
