Jenny Wheatley In Between the Islands Greetings Card
Jenny Wheatley's In Between the Islands is a bright and breezy way to share your favourite painting from this year's Summer Exhibition with a good friend.
With over 1,200 works on display, this summer Grayson Perry RA coordinates the biggest, brightest and most colourful Summer Exhibition yet, in our 250th annual celebration of “art made now”. Our print selection is a reflection of the exciting mix that makes up the exhibition, with works by internationally renowned artists, new talent and first-time exhibitors.
Jenny Wheatley has been painting professionally since leaving art school in 1981.
Her work can be seen in many private and public collections including those of H. M. The Queen, the Maltese Government, Qingdoa Muesum, China, and British Gas.
Her work always has a strong sense of vibrant colour and theatrical design. The initial colour impact belies a much more subtle and emotive portrayal of her subjects and her response to them. She has appeared as an expert judge in two series of Channel 4's Watercolour Challenge and been commissioned to paint for six months in Polynesia.
