Luke Edward Hall

Luke Edward Hall

Luke Edward Hall is a London-based artist and designer of interiors, fabrics and ceramics who has collaborated with the Royal Academy of Arts to create an exclusive new colection which celebrates 250 years of this historic institution.

Artist profile

Luke Edward Hall is known for his colourful aesthetic and is informed by a love of history, an appreciation of beauty and a sense of playfulness.

After working for the architectural and interior designer Ben Pentreath for two years, Hall established his studio in the autumn of 2015 and began working across a broad range of art and design commissions and interior design projects. In April 2016 he held his first exhibition of drawings and paintings and a pop-up shop in Bloomsbury. During this time he also took part in a group exhibition entitled Young Bright Things at David Gill Gallery and in September 2016 he curated an exhibition of art and design at Christie's in London. Hall has collaborated with a variety of companies including Burberry, Bicester Village and the Parker Palm Springs hotel in California.

More recently, Luke Edward Hall has designed an exclusive new collection in honour of the Royal Academy of Arts 250th annivarsary. The celebratory range includes champagne flutes, nakins and even bespoke biscuits inspired by the RA's impressive history and traditions.

I had an incredible time at the RA’s archive, rifling through stacks of beautiful old menus and wine labels - they provided a wealth of inspiration for our new designs, which I hope capture the spirit of the RA’s historic enjoyment of hospitality.”
