Mary Fedden (1915-2012) was elected a Senior Royal Academician in 1992. She was the first female tutor to teach painting at the Royal College of Art from 1956-64. Best known for her still life paintings, her compositions were influenced by Matisse. She employed flat planes as a background to objects and contrasting colours to create rhythm across the two-dimensional surface.
This versatile ceramic stand is heat resistant with four raised ceramic feet on the base.
Featuring a Mary Fedden transfer design, it can be used for teapots, casseroles and house plants.
Please note, due to the nature of the transfer this item is unsuitable for hot pans.
