This vibrant and colourful silk twill scarf by Paul Huxley RA is based on a painting inspired by a visit to China. Huxley uses a unique palette of greens, red and black in this work, and the large square shape of this scarf reflects the square shape used in all his paintings. Lu Green has been finished with hand rolled edges for as a luxurious final touch.

Paul Huxley RA was elected a Royal Academician in 1987 and has acted as the Treasurer 2000 - 2014 and even served for a period as President. Until 1998, Huxley was Professor of Painting at the RCA before being elected Honorary Fellow and Professor Emeritus. Many of his students such as Dinos Chapman, Nigel Cook, Dexter Dagwood, Andrew Grassie, Tracey Emin, Chantal Joffe and Chris Ofili are now established artists contributing to the widely acclaimed new British art.
