Product story

The Summer Exhibition has been a mainstay throught the Royal Academy's history and this poster was designed by the first woman elected to the academy, Dame Laura Knight RA (1877-1970). Knight was by this point very experienced in poster design, having created posters for London Transport in the 1920s and 30s. In this, its 250th year, the RA has looked back at its long and distinguished history of poster design and selected the best loved for publication.
