Iliassa Sequin: Richard Dadd
Published exclusively for the RA on the occasion of Richard Dadd: Beyond Bedlam, this book of poems was written by Iliassa Sequin. Born in Greece in 1938, she encountered Richgard Dadd’s Contradiction. Oberon and Titania at the Ferens Art Gallery in Hull while living in Yorkshire in the 1970’s. Dadd became one of the core influences of her long poem variously known as Quintets and rotechart. The poems here – drawn from the longer work – are beautifully illustrated by Minos Agryarkis.
