British Sculptors 1972 Epic Poster
To celebrate the 250th anniversary of the Royal Academy, we've collaborated with Surface View to present an unparalleled collection of our past posters.
This purely typographic poster for the 1972 British Sculptors exhibition was created by graphic designer and artist Gordon House (1932-2004), who worked with the RA over many decades. House also designed the cover for the Beatles White Album and posters for the Live Aid concerts in 1985.

Delivery & returns information
This retrospective collection of Royal Academy posters, created in colllaboration with Surface View, displays a glorious intersection between art and design, and includes classic posters such as the seminal Sensation Exhibition in 1997 designed by Why Not Associates, Anish Kapoor’s ground breaking exhibition of 2008, and Henri Matisse’s artwork featured on the 1975 French Graphic Art exhibition poster.
Each poster is printed on robust Tyvek® paper with a satin finish and is supplied with struts and bulldog clips for fixing. Each print retains the quality, quirks and age-worn beauty of the original image.
Your poster will be printed to order by Surface View. Please allow up to 14 working days for the order to be processed, printed and delivered within the UK. Orders for delivery internationally may take longer. You will be contacted with tracking details once your order has been despatched.
