Product story

Maciej Urbaneck captures the tropical foliage of the Everglades, Florida, in this digital print characteristic of his hyper-real imagery. Lush with ‘ferns, all the way to the horizon’, he describes the location as having heat reminiscent of the Caribbean, and an underlying unease provided by the resident crocodiles.

Urbanek makes large-scale photographic prints which explore and interpret the distinction between representation and reality. He is currently Photography Tutor in the RA Schools.

All proceeds from the sale of RA Editions prints go directly to support the RA Schools.

"‘In my art practice I have been using a variety of media to speculate on the subjects of existence, beauty, production of meaning and the nature of representation. I am interested in elevating the banal and prosaic elements of life and turning them into powerful and rich visual statements."

The RA Editions programme generates valuable revenue for the RA and in particular the RA Schools.
