Artwork description

This unique work forms part of Bowey RA’s ‘Academicians in Focus’ solo exhibition, currently on display in the Keeper’s House at the RA. Bowey’s characterful figurative paintings and drawings, infused with passion for her subjects, celebrate the medium of still life – particularly focusing upon the potted plants inside her beloved greenhouse. She also spends a great deal of time working in isolation in the tropical environment of the Victorian greenhouses at West Dean, as well as making studies of the Sussex countryside around her home. The exhibition also includes a small number of rare early pencil drawings including intimate portraits.

Artist Sales: This work is sold by the artist. The sale is facilitated by RA Enterprises (RAE) for which RAE receives a commission from the artist only.
