The Laforgue Four

The Laforgue Four is a series of four posthumous screenprints produced by the Patrick Caulfield Estate.

Their original designs were developed between 1969-72 alongside twenty-two further designs that were released as screenprints for Caulfield’s limited-edition book on the poetry of Jules Laforgue in 1973. The Laforgue Four designs - which are emblematic of his renowned style - were not included in the book due to space, but Caulfield chose to keep the works.

In 2022, the designs were screen-printed posthumously by his family who have matched their fathers’ eye for detail; every effort was made to make the colour depth and feel of the prints match the 1972 edition set.

They are available as a set and individually.
