The most clearly figurative of Hume’s new series of prints for RA Editions, Yellow Slip re-interprets familiar territory of ‘bird as woman’ – and vice versa – in a sensual image portraying a silhouetted, curvaceous form against a warm background. A bright yellow jolt of colour is hiding behind (or pushing at) the silhouette, injecting this image with a characteristic element of ambiguity.
All proceeds from the sale of RA Editions prints go directly to support the RA Schools.
