Yellow Spot Bag

Louisa creates her patterns using the traditional method of hand block printing, which is one of the oldest methods of printing. Block printing involves a design being carved into a block of wood or linoleum; dye is then applied before being pressed into the fabric. This process can then be repeated to create a pattern repeat. Louisa uses simple geometric form and shape, embracing the nuances and subtle variation this process offers. Each pattern is then finished with flecks of colour painted by hand. 50% off! Product story

- BIOGRAPHY -

Louisa was formally trained as a painter at Wimbledon College of Art, through her painting she pursues harmony of line, form and composition; all elements that influenced her current range of fabric designs. Taking inspiration from the traditional craft of block printing Louisa explores the repetition of pattern design from her studio in Peckham, London.
