David Remfry RA: Another Sunrise
This selling display features recent works by David Remfry. Perhaps best known for his watercolours of dancers, nearly all the works on show are oil paintings. Some more figurative than others, all of them full of life and love. Among them is an image of the artist’s friend, cabaret singer and performer Meow Meow being lifted into the air on an Indoor Thermal.
As you approach the restaurant, two new works greet you. The one on the right, titled Another Sunrise lends its name to the installation. This piece, like nearly all others in the show, features the recurring leitmotif of the Remfry’s grandmother's scullery chair.
