Artist profile

Rose Blake is an artist and illustrator based in London. She holds a BA in Illustration and Animation from Kingston University, graduating in 2009, as well as an MA in Communication Art and Design from the Royal College of Art, graduating in 2011. She works predominately as a commercial illustrator, allowing this to inform her work as a painter and printmaker.

Her commissions have included The New Yorker, The New York Times, Google and The Sunday Times. She had her first solo exhibition Now I Am An Artist  at Rebecca Hossack Gallery in 2015, challenging the distinction between fine art and illustration, and has just completed her first children’s book about David Hockney for Tate Publishing.
