Journeyings: Recent Works on Paper by Frank Bowling RA 2011, Epic Poster
Powerful and eye-catching, this poster accompanied the 2011 display of works on paper by Frank Bowling RA. Like the much larger paintings on canvas for which Bowling is renowned, these intimately scaled works in acrylic paint and gel showcased the artist's vibrant colours and tactile surfaces.
This retrospective collection of Royal Academy posters, created in collaboration with Surface View, displays a glorious intersection between art and design, and includes classic posters such as the seminal Sensation exhibition in 1997 designed by Why Not Associates, the much-loved J.M.W. Turner exhibition in 1974, and the iconic Herbert Bayer designed 50 Years of Bauhaus poster from 1967.
Each poster is printed on robust Tyvek® paper with a satin finish and is supplied with struts and bulldog clips for fixing. Each print retains the quality, quirks and age-worn beauty of the original image.
Delivery
