Product story

Daniel Wallis is a mixed-media artist who lives and works in South East London. Born in Maidstone in 1981, he studied Fine Art at Chelsea College of Art and later at the Royal Academy of Arts. Wallis’s work encompasses sculpture, print, drawing and painting, and manipulates basic elements into constructions that question the tension between hidden strength and perceived fragility. The work can vary dramatically in scale from intimate prints to large-scale sculptural installations, and colour, materiality and fine craftsmanship are notable attributes within his practice, alongside often mischievous interventions that play with weight, balance and implied function. Wallis’s work has been shown internationally and is held within various private and public collections.
