Product story

Dom Hans van der Laan, Saint Benedict Abbey, Mamelis, Netherlands, 2000/2021

"Two windows allow light to enter the Abbey, creating two characters. They could meet on a surface but actually, the space between the two windows doesn't allow the encounter. They will be eternally dancing and reflecting on each other, to the extent that one looks like the shadow of the other.”

Hélène Binet is a photographer renowned for making images that express an intimate experience of architecture. Her studies are not only a representation of her subject but a distinct re-staging of a building, in relation to a specific time and its surroundings.

The RA Editions programme generates valuable revenue for the RA and in particular the RA Schools.
