This limited edition work by Norman Ackroyd RA was first shown in an exhibition of prints to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the Royal Academy of Arts in 2018. A sugarlift aquatint, the piece boasts a technique of etching that gives the image a wash-like quality.
Produced as an edition of 90, each print is signed and numbered by the artist.
Estuary, a characteristically atmospheric monochrome etching by Norman Ackroyd, captures the view across the Stour Estuary, a body of water that borders two counties. Depicted from Manningtree on the Essex side of the estuary, the scene is viewed across the water looking north towards Suffolk. The location is about a mile downriver from Flatford Mill in Suffolk, where Constable produced many of his greatest works.

All proceeds from sales of this work go directly to support the non-profit-making areas of the Royal Academy, particularly the RA Schools.
