This distinctive soft toy is based on the sculpture Red Alan, 2011 by Grayson Perry RA. Like his ceramic counterpart, Red Alan proudly wears his gold Royal Academicians medal.
The original sculpture is held in the RA Collection and was itself based on Perry’s famed childhood teddy bear, fondly known as Alan Measles.
As each Alan is handmade, they are all slightly different with their own unique charm and personality, complete with a mischievous and wonky smile. Handmade in Nepal according to fair trade standards with 100% wool outer and 100% polyester filling.
