Marzia Colonna MRBS (Member of the Royal British Sculptors) was born in Pisa and studied at the Academia di Belle Arti, Florence. She moved to England in 1970 and had her first solo exhibition in 1979. Since then her works have been exhibited regularly and her sculptures are in public spaces in the UK and abroad. Colonna started to use collage as a medium in 1987 as a way to capture the colour and texture of her Dorset surroundings.
