Product story
Norman Adams RA created the Summer Exhibition poster for 1988. The intricate watercolour was loved by the Council but it soon became clear that despite its artistic value it did not work so well as an advertisement for the show. In future years the brief was made more explicit: to design a poster rather than create an artwork.
