Abstract painter Victor Pasmore RA (1908-1988) was elected an Academician three years after the exhibition that accompanied this poster. The piece featured on this poster is Brown Development No.2, 1964-6. This is one of a number of popular posters the Royal Academy is publishing upon celebration of its 250th year.
