Product story
Mary Fedden (1915-2012) was elected a Senior Royal Academician in 1992. She was the first female tutor to teach painting at the Royal College of Art from 1956-64. Best known for her still life paintings, her compositions were influenced by Matisse. She employed flat planes as a background to objects and contrasting colours to create rhythm across the two-dimensional surface.
