Product story
The starting point for this atmospheric monochrome print was a walk the artist took through a forest in the Peak District. Woodall uses the versatility of the medium of aquatint to depict the sun breaking through the trees in this image, creating a sense of enchantment. The figure and the doves were later additions. The sudden flurry of doves taking flight, silhouetted white against the dark forest, bring a rush of energetic movement to an otherwise peaceful scene.
