Produced in a limited edition of 30, each print is signed and numbered by the artist.
This vibrant print, Transition Development: Blue, Red, Black is part of the Transition series which Carter has been working on since 2012.
"[The title of the series] refers to the transition, from left to right, of a channel of space which cuts into the body of the work, dividing it into two zones, one which points to the left and the other which points to the right. Two squares, one above the other, in various dimensions, are another feature of the theme."
Influenced by the works of European concrete and constructivist artists, John Carter’s printmaking is closely related to his process of developing the abstract wall objects for which he is best known.
