Rose Blake’s career as a successful illustrator for The New York Times, The Telegraph and The Sunday Times continues to inform her work as a painter and printmaker, challenging the distinction between fine art and illustration. In 2015 she exhibited a number of works exploring this notion in a solo exhibition at Rebecca Hossack Gallery frankly titled Now I Am An Artist. This series of prints continues the artist’s exploration of her distinctive style of quirky abstraction. Edited images and close-ups create clues and suggestions presented in storyboard form, with its own intriguing narrative.

She holds a BA in Illustration and Animation from Kingston University, graduating in 2009, as well as an MA in Communication Art and Design from the Royal College of Art, graduating in 2011.
