"Following a set of large wall drawings I made in Venice I began a series of works playing with balancing and toppling geometric shapes giving a sense of precariousness and suspense. I discovered that this format with its implied sculptural manifestation could seem sinister at times, as was my first intention in shapes of varying proportions to illustrate impending climate catastrophe, but also playful and entertaining at other times evoking acrobatic performances" - Paul Huxley
About Paul Huxley RA
Paul Huxley RA studied at Harrow School of Art (1951-1956) followed by the Royal Academy Schools (1956-1960). He taught at the Royal College of Art and was appointed Professor Emeritus in 1998.
